When I visited the closes in Edinburgh I found there was a lot of homeless people sitting there, I noticed they all had a very sad expression on their faces and I wanted to capture this within my work. I experimented with different ways of projecting sadness through an eye, I found that by having the red paint dripping from the eye created a sad, yet sinister tone.
