Not posted for a while (oops) but it's now the final year of the degree... can't believe how quickly the last two years have gone in.
The first brief of the the year is a short one... 11 days! Definitely a short one as I usually take two weeks to come up with an idea. This brief has forced me to make quick decisions and has helped me to refine my research. I have found it to be useful as it has got me back into a creative mindset to develop a concept.
For this brief I was asked to represent the 'essence of the pencil' in a innovative way. As I was unsure of what to do I broke the sentence down to the word essence. I thought of creating a perfume like product as this is something that is related to smell and you can make your mark with it like a pencil.
I'm still researching and experimenting at the moment but I am enjoying the brief more now that I have an idea of what I an doing.
Third year is going to be a very busy year but I'm looking forward to it!
