The spiral is to mimic the shape of a spiral staircase and also to represent the unwinding of time... I have used a Roman numeral style pattern to enhance the idea of a clock. The faceless figures are to show how I feel that when I am travelling I don't take in my surroundings and people seem to blend into one another and the area around them.
